Every year, as the end of December approaches, my sisters start bombarding me with emails begging me to come home.
But this year, something felt different.
When I arrived at the airport, there was Moyu, as lively as ever, and Yukihime, standing a step back with a shy, embarrassed smile.
For a moment, I felt like I’d been let down, but it was clear the two of them were hiding something.
“Big brother… I want… to open my own shop.”
“Onii-chan, I want to be an idol…”
That night, they finally opened up to me, each sharing their dreams.
Yukihime passionately, yet nervously, talked about wanting to open a cute little boutique, while Moyu confessed her dream of becoming an idol.
Our hometown is an old, conservative place, the kind of area where tradition runs deep—and our parents are no exception.
In an environment like that, there was no way our parents would approve. Feeling cornered, the two of them had come to me for help.
