Our main character is the daughter of the great inventor who made the biggest strides to the creation of the automaton robots, building magical cores almost as complex as the human brain.
His intelligence granted him aristocracy titles, giving a comfortable life to his formerly commoner family, but after his mysterious death, his daughter and wife were no longer useful to the higher ups, who left them both to rot with all their titles revoked.
The game starts with the main character attending to a school for paupers for the first time.
