Valerie Wright is one of Your Character's Upstreet neighbors, the president of the neighborhood Homeowners Association and whose murder Your Character is investigating. Her only appearance alive is in Chapter 1, although she is mentioned in almost every chapter after that. She is the wife of Oak Valley's mayor, Benjamin Wright, and is quite a cheapskate despite being considerably wealthy. Sadie Hotchmitch is unsubtle about her dislike of her and immediately takes over the Homeowners Association following Valerie's death.
