Neferuaten of Amat is one of the members of the Inner Circle of the Order of the Universal Panacea, and Utsushikome of Fusai's old mentor and paramour. She is one of the leading figures in Entropic Thanatomancy, and the first to teach people to practice the previously theoretical field. Neferuaten, as a member of the inner circle of the order, is knowledgeable about many fields of arcane study. Besides thanatomancy and medicine, she is a capable neuromancer, physicist and specialist in biological logic engines. She is the creator of Sekhmet, and the Serpopards.
