Kokoro is an inquisitive shut-in who's plagued by delusions of extraterrestrials, spurred by early-onset schizophrenia. Growing up with a single mom, he taught himself to read and they bonded of sci-fi movies and unsolved mysteries. When Kokoro's illness set in, he was consumed by paranoia and an inability to recognize those around him as anything but alien doppelgangers.
