After the sudden disappearance of Artyom Kalashnikov, the FSB leadership sends his partner, Lieutenant Nastya Nakhimova from the Retrospective Department, to the Sovyonok pioneer camp. Her task is to find clues, figure out where Artyom disappeared to, and carefully cover up the tracks he left behind.
Nastya has a month to complete the mission. During this time, she will have to:
- Infiltrate the camp: Find a way into the new shift of Sovyonok (only a couple of old acquaintances are left here) and build an ironclad alibi. She will have to interact closely with the pioneers, using their trust for her own purposes.
- Cover her tracks: Pull off a highly complex information cleanup. No physical eliminations: only social engineering, erasing the memories of witnesses (which will affect territory even outside the camp), and disposing of the equipment left by her partner.
- Put the puzzle together: Restore the chronology of events from three years ago by studying logs and talking to people to understand the fugitive's true motives. By her own personal decision, the operative will have to continue the search in Tokyo.
