The protagonist is a man who has long lived in voluntary isolation, feeling detached and alienated from others. After receiving an invitation to a small gathering, he slowly becomes involved in interactions with both old and new acquaintances.
Fragments of his past are revealed through the journey to the meeting, conversations, and his internal reactions.
