Autumn 2006. In Haimori, a village swallowed by the forest, people disappear and nobody files a report.
Tenji, the young officer on the night shift, is sent to check on the village doctor, who hasn't been seen in months and lives alone in an old Western house at the edge of the woods. What he finds there concerns the village, the doctor... and Tenji himself.
