The sole occupant of a lonely lighthouse, Llewellyn should have a simple life full of boring reports and mundane observations. But when an offshore lab sinks in a freak accident, oceanographers across the international coastline are put on edge.
Every day, Llewellyn dives beneath the waves to monitor the marine life for disease, and every day things grow stranger. When something drags itself ashore alongside him, Llewellyn must figure out how to keep both himself and it alive while uncovering what it is, where it came from, and whether anyone else should ever learn of this mistake of nature at all.
