A mysterious, oppressive mist has blanketed the surface of the world. Terrifying monsters roam that thick haze, bloodthirsty and violent. The last vestiges of mankind have fled skyward, ascending ever-growing skyscrapers to escape the certain death that awaits them in the foggy remains of the world beneath their feet.
And yet... Life up here is only facilitated by that same mist. Inexplicably, resources like food, ammunition, and even the raw materials necessary to continue this endless upwards expansion appear within the silent, deadly corridors below. And so, despite their dwindling numbers, brave men and women known as Mist Divers descend back into those forlorn halls to ensure that life above can continue.
